Facebook + SpongeBob SquarePants

This campaign is Facebook’s first major integrated campaign created solely for India. ‘Live What You Love’ was created to engage with Facebook’s 217 million users in India to ‘share inspiring stories from the community about a multifaceted, diverse range of individuals and how they have used Facebook in meaningful ways to do things that matter to them.’

‘Sandy’ is 1 of 4 films from the campaign and focuses on a man called Sandeep, but his friends call him Sandy. In one of the scenes we see him at the barbershop with the cricket on the television in the corner. A boy changes the channel to SpongeBob SquarePants.

We were contacted by Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam to license the opening sequence from SpongeBob SquarePants for this scene. We managed the process from start to finish, including the negotiation of the terms and the brand assurance process.
