Our owner and director, David Born, knows the industry inside out. He has worked in the entertainment brand licensing industry for over 16 years and has an in depth understanding of what’s required to make an advertising campaign a true success. He’s the former Head of Licensing for FMCG & Promotions EMEA at Cartoon Network and was Manager of FMCG & Promotions at Warner Bros Australia. Throughout his career he has worked with a strong portfolio of clients including: McDonalds, Colgate, Johnson & Johnson, Burger King, KFC, Ferrero, Kelloggs, Heinz, Samsung, British Airways, Cadbury, Facebook, Instagram, T-Mobile and many more.
License Global included David in their ‘The Influentials: Top 40 Under 40’ report; he was also named within ‘Licensing.biz Power 50’ highlighting the most influential people in licensing.
The solid relationships David has built over the years, and his ability to pass on his expanding knowledge to the rest of the team, means we are implicitly trusted by the biggest advertising agencies and brands across all markets. Amber Cheung
SENIOR LICENSING EXECUTIVE
Amber has worked in licensing for nearly ten years with an early career focus on consumer product licensing. Prior to joining the Born Licensing team, Amber was based in Hong Kong helping British beauty and spa brands secure licenses in Asia, before moving back to London where she helped manage the Imperial War Museum’s licensing program. Amber’s love of film and the entertainment industry brought her to Born Licensing in 2019, where she’s since worked on some of Born Licensing’s biggest campaigns to date such as ASDA’s ‘Have Your Elf a Merry Christmas’ campaign with Buddy the Elf, and Direct Line’s ‘We’re On It’ campaign with RoboCop, Transformers Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Marvel Studios’ King Valkyrie. Amber is based in London.

Amanda Cummings
LICENSING COORDINATOR
Amanda is primarily serving the North American market. She is a graduate of New York Law School, where she focused primarily on entertainment and intellectual property law. Before joining Born Licensing, Amanda worked as a Theatre and Motion Picture Business Affairs Assistant at Creative Artists Agency. Amanda’s background with both the business and legal aspects of entertainment make her unique to project manage the licensing process from start to finish. Amanda is based in New York.

Alberto Massaro
LICENSING COORDINATOR
Alberto is mainly supporting the business with EMEA-based campaigns. Born and raised in Northern Italy, Alberto relocated to London at the end of 2018 for his studies. Alberto’s background includes screen acting, film production, writing and project management, making him a competent professional in the entertainment industry. Prior to Born Licensing, Alberto worked as Production Assistant for Pride in London, and has helped with the production of fashion and music shoots for magazines and publications based across Europe. Alberto is based in London.
