FLASH GORDON
CHARACTER OVERVIEW:
Comic’s first intergalactic hero, Flash Gordon, has no superpowers. Instead, he uses his intelligence, athleticism and resourceful team to save Earth (and ultimately the universe) from the tyrannical Ming the Merciless, ruler of Mongo, and his superweapons. A natural leader, both impulsive and reactive (in a good way) he typically faces foes using his sword.

The heroic earthling has been celebrated for almost nine decades by loyal fans who have explored the stars with comics' most famous intergalactic adventurer, his female companion Dale Arden, and scientist, Dr. Hans Zarkov. Created in 1934 by legendary comic-strip artist Alex Raymond, Flash Gordon has set the standard for science fiction adventure.
