Hot off the heels of their US Roadshow, Born Licensing has announced a European Roadshow, kicking off in Paris. The licensing/talent agent will initially be offering their popular Character Licensing Workshops to advertising agencies across France for spring/summer 2023. Workshops will be available in other locations throughout 2023.
The licensing workshops will help advertising agencies navigate the typical challenges that arise when working with fictional characters and IP. This will include considerations during the creative development stage, all the way to negotiating the usage terms and the critically important approval process.
The free 60-minute workshops will be run virtually by CEO David Born and Senior Licensing Executive Amber Cheung. In-person workshops may be available on request depending on timings.
The offering follows a busy first quarter where Born Licensing ran workshops for agency production and creative teams across the US East Coast. Agencies of all sizes attended the virtual and in-person presentations including Havas, The Martin Agency, TBWA, David, Johannes Leonardo, and many more.
“Our licensing workshops have been extremely popular in the US, so we’re super excited to bring the workshop to France. France is an important market for us, and one where we think famous characters are really being underutilized in advertising. We know that there is a huge appetite for incorporating famous characters and IP into creative, but it’s also clear that many agencies believe the process to be too complex and time-consuming. Our workshops have been developed to give advertising professionals the understanding and the tools needed when working with characters and IP.” — David Born, CEO of Born Licensing.
